MJ INTERNATIONAL TOURS


This is the itinerary for our Magnificent China Group Tour for which we are now booking.

Day 1 – Domestic and International flights originating at an airport close to your home 

Day 2 – Cross International Dateline 

Day 3 – Arrive Beijing 

On arrival to Beijing, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.  Explore Beijing, with a visit to the beautiful Temple of Heaven, possibly the most popular symbol of China, and walk through the exciting streets and hutongs around Liu Li Chang. 

Accommodation: Xiyuan Hotel (3 nights) 

Day 4 – Beijing Sightseeing 

Explore the Forbidden City containing the Imperial Palace with its ornate halls and rooms, and spectacular gardens.  Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public square in the world, is the site of awesome parades reviewed by government leaders.  You also visit the beautiful Temple of Heaven, possibly the most popular symbol of China.  Stop in at Silk Alley for some shopping.  On the outskirts is Summer Palace, a complex of pagodas, temples, pavilions and courtyards interspersed with beautiful lakes, hills and gardens.

Day 5 – Great Wall and Ming Tombs 

Visit one of the great wonders of the world, the 6000 km long Great Wall of China.  Not too distint are the Ming Tombs where 13 emperors are buried and which contain impressive carved marble thrones in the underground mausoleum.

Day 6 – Fly Beijing to Xian 

Sightseeing and transfer to your hotel.  Visit the Shaanxi Historical Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda-1, 300-year-old Dayan.  Xian, now a modern city, is the seed of the Shaanxi provincial government and well served by air and rail transportation for the international tourist.

Day 7 – Sightseeing including Terracotta Warriors 

In Xian, we will explore the city’s Muslim quarter, the ancient, fortified city walls and Wild Goose pagoda before continuing to Xian’s greatest sight, the Terracotta Warriors.  Buried for over 2000 years, this amazing army faces east, protecting the Qin Emperor and shows the sophistication and skill of the artisans.  We also see the prehistoric village at Banpo, with some free time in Xian to visit the Great Mosque, Drum Tower or just relax.

Day 8 – Fly Xian to Guilin City sightseeing tour of Guilin 

Guilin’s landscape of jutting, mist-caressed peaks marching in ghostly procession beside the lazy Li River has been celebrated with brush and pen through the ages.  Afternoon sightseeing including Reed Flute Mountain and Fubo Mountain. 

Accommodation: Bravo Hotel Guilin 4 Star (2 nights)  

This International Hotel (1987) located near the city center on Banyan Lake Promenade, is 15 km from Guilin Airport.  Its features include restaurants, coffee shop, business center, outdoor pool with poolside bar, bar, gym, sauna, tennis courts, etc. 

Day 9 – Li River Cruise 

Enduring memories are created on a cruise on the meandering river, where vignettes of old villages and pastoral life are glimpsed through stands of feathery bamboo against the backdrop of preposterous pinnacles.  Secluded valleys caught between the peaks can be viewed from atop piled Silk Hill; in subterranean chambers, the lace-work patterns of stalactites and stalagmites illuminated by colored lights is an iridescent of fairyland.

Yangshuo is famed for its green mountains, beautiful waters, weird-shaped hills and mysterious caverns.  Major scenic sites include the Solitary Beauty Peak, Elephant Trunk Peak, Folded Brocade Hill, Underground Water Hill, Crescent Moon Hill, South Steam Hill and Seven-Star Cave. 

Day 10 – Fly Guilin to Shanghai 

You will be transferred to and from the airport.  The largest city in the nation, Shanghai is at the core of China’s industry and commerce.  Here the pace quickens; people move faster, energetically shaping the future.  The Bund, a riverside boulevard with beautiful gardens, reflects the city’s 19th century ties to Europe through the style of building that flank it.  Throughout the city are numerous parks, squares, pagodas, museums, palaces and historic building that make the whole city one intriguing site for exploring and picture taking.  Nanjing Road’s goods-filled emporiums bustle with local shoppers.  Typical sightseeing embraces past and present, visiting 400-year-old Yu Yuan gardens, an oasis in the crowded Old Quarter; the excellent museum of Art and History; a Children’s Palace where gifted school children entertain; factories crafting carpets and jade carvings. 

Accommodation: Shanghai Holiday Inn Downtown 4 Star (2 nights) 

20 minutes to the airport and located in the commercial district.  500 rooms, 20 restaurants.  Facilities include a billiard room, exercise room, sauna, bars, shops, post office, foreign exchange, shopping center, beauty and massage parlor. 

Day 11 – Shanghai sightseeing 

We walk the historic Bund, Yu Yuan Gardens and the Chinese quarter.  We take time to explore the fascinating Shanghai Museum, which features a fabulous array of original, ancient artifacts including famous bronze wear, ceramic, calligraphy and painting displays and furniture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.  Finally, we see the masterpiece that is the Jade Buddha, with the remainder of time free for exploring or last minute shopping. 

Day 12 – Suzhou 

Travel from Shanghai to Suzhou by luxury train in the morning and return in the evening.  Whole day sightseeing in Suzhou. 

Suzhou is one of China’s oldest cities and also one of its most beautiful.  It is a city criss-crossed with a network of canals and therefore known as the “Venice of the East” with its own Grand Canal.  Suzhou also has the most beautiful, ornamental gardens in China that combine pavilions, temples and rock sculptures with distinctive arrangements of trees and flowers.  The silk industry is centered in Suzhou and a visit to a silk factory is a rewarding experience. 

Day 13 – Fly back home with memories of a once of a lifetime tour. 

Terms and conditions 

  • Total package price for this great tour is only $2799.00 (which includes all taxes) per person based on double occupancy.  This price includes:

1.   Round trip airfare from Tri-Cities airport to China.

2.   All domestic flights in China from Beijing to Xian, from Xian to Guilin, from Guilin to Shanghai.

3.   4 and 5 star hotel accommodations.  Hotels subject to change but will be all 4 and 5 star. 

4.   3 meals everyday.

5.   Local guided tours in each city and entry fees to all attractions.

6.   All taxes except airport departure tax inside China.

  • We will get Chinese Visa for each client.  The Visa fee of $100.00 per person is additional.
  • Airport departure tax of about $6.00 each at Beijing, Xian and Guilin Airport, and about $10.00 at Shanghai Airport not included.
  • Tips to bus drivers and local tour guides are customary but not included in the price.
  • Deposit of $300.00 required at time of reservation.  Deposit is refundable in full minus $50.00 service fees if cancelled 90 days prior to departure.  Deposit cannot be refunded if not cancelled as stated.
  • Full payment due 90 days prior to departure.
  • Return the completed reservation form along with deposit as soon as possible.
